The Wild has to be very careful about rushing their prospects to the NHL level just because we have a vacuum. That vacuum needs to be filled with quality UFA's right now so that the young guys have the proper opportunity to develop. Bulmer is a perfect example as he may be able to play some 3rd or 4th line minutes for the Wild as a grinder type of player but what will those limited minutes and that limited role do to his long term development. Bulmer could develop into another Ryan/Perry/Getzlaf type of player if properly developed or he could become another Jared Boll (grinder/goon) like what happened in Columbus when Boll's development( 2 pts and minus 7 in 40 games this year) was rushed due to the vaccum they had and management's poor insite concerning player development. Look at Columbus now as they are rebuilding yet again. We have to be very careful not to make that mistake and then be rebuilding again in another 4 or 5 years down the road plus we have the cap space to do it right !
