Sure, the Gophers secured a share of the WCHA title on Friday, but it was accompanied by frustration, not elation.

No excuses the Gophers laid their friday night egg, from the goaltender out. Now its time to amp up the play tonight. It is no consolation but it is nice the Dawgs accomadated them by laying their own egg at St. Cloud State. Go Gophers!!!!

This is not the time of the year to give 50% efforts in a game. If they perform this way tonight, I predict one and done in the NCAA's.

No excuses. Play harder. Play smarter. You are better than the Badgers. Don't let them sweep you in your own rink. Have some pride and play like champions.

Once again, Goophs and their fans--you name the sport except wrestling--face the deep frustration of not being able to beat the Badgers. Chances are you'll beat them tonight, which ought to bring some consolation.

I hate to say this, but I think the hockey team is too inconsistent to make it through the WCHA and national tournaments. I hope I am wrong. I haven't read much about Bjugstad's injury. Does any one know what it is? Think it is the same injury that almost kept him out of the junior tournament?
