The Wild lost Niklas Backstrom just minutes in, then rallied late in regulation only to lose in a shootout.

Based on his play the past several games, it was a mistake to start him in the first place. Now this. Hopefully Hackett gets the start in Detroit.

"The Wild scored three goals in the third period in a furious rally, but lost to Montreal in a shutout".......Wouldn't a SHUTout imply one team didn't score any goals? :)

Way to go Kassian! Amazing when you put a big strong guy in front of the net! Maybe we could try that again? I remember the game the had Boogie camp in the slot, he almost scored about three times! I still think Kass can score 10 goals and 20 assists a year, that would be huge for us.

It was interesting to read the other day, after Gilbert and Scandella turned the puck over to LA for a goal, that the Wild are the only team other than Pittsburgh to use that breakout system. Haven't we been hearing ALL season about not being able to get out of our end ? Any possibility it could be the "system" ? I wonder if Yeo will last any longer than Richards.
