To be realistic, Jan Malcolm has made a heckuva good living in six figures jobs pretending to care about folks in need of health care, etc. I am sure Robert Bruininks will join in this pretense and Malcolm and Bruininks will sit back, enjoying their six figure salaries and congratulating themselves on their oh-so-sincere concern for the needy.

"Forpeople" has it absolutely right. The insiders' six-figure club continues. All under the pretense of caring for the less fortunate. Those less fortunate to figure out early in their lives that gov't and nonprofit foundations are one sure bet to an easy life.

RE: "Bruininks was chosen for his managerial skills and professional stature -- and because he does not want to be a candidate for the permanent job, according to the foundation's board of directors." ----------------------------------- What professional stature? In retrospect, his tenure as President of the U is underwhelming at best -- and that is being charitable. A poor choice as interim director.
