Good news.

Did the state ACTUALLY gain those jobs? Are you sure the state didn't LITERALLY gain those jobs? Or perhaps we BASICALLY gained those jobs. Either way, this is good jobs news that must just infuriate the GOP.

Starquest: why would it infuriate the GOP? We have a Republican-led legislature that was criticized consistently by Democrats for not creating a jobs bill, yet jobs increased anyhow without a government-led "jobs bill". Stay out of the way, government!

Wow. There goes the 'Right to work for less' amendment argument.

Enough crap about whether the Dems or Repubs are responsible for the good news for MN. Note that goverment lost 1,700 j0bs. Lets keep in mind that the goal here is to make efficient use of all government workers, not to gut all government programs and services. Therein lies the need for intelligent bi-partisian thinking and effort...

If Dayton and the Farmer Laborites had gotten the $3 billion in tax increases they wanted in the last budget this most definately would NOT have happened. Kudos to the Republican Majority for keeping a lid on spending and taxes. First a surplus, now job growth, just like they said it would.

FINALLY the economic recovery is here! I feel a sense of relief & I think a lot of others do, too. I hope the Iran & European debt nonsense does not de-rail it.

The GOP legislature will love running for reelection on this type of news. Throw in the overwhelming support for a voter ID measure, and it will bode very well in the fall elections........
