Wolves' slow starts remain an issue

Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman shrugged and sighed Wednesday night when asked once again if he's considering lineup changes.

Adelman needs to address the problem by sitting Wes Johnson and starting Williams or Beasley who are better scorers. They can't continue to spot their opponent a double digit lead every game.

what're the odds that Adelman sees something so potentially fantastic in Wes that he's basically giving him the year through to figure it out or not? I'm pretty down on Wes myself right now, but there's gotta be some reason he's in there.

Adleman forgets more about basketball in one night than I'll ever know...but it's not rocket science to figure out why we have such poor starts of games. 2 of his starting 5 are terrible scorers. Rubio and Wes are just not offensive threats. So you have to figure out the balance of where are you going to mix these guys in: first team or second and then live with the results. Obviously Adleman wants more fire off the bench so he puts Wes in with the starters. Your kind of stuck finding a place to put him.

They're sending the wrong guy to the D league. I'd much rather see Lee in the lineup than Wes, who has pretty much done absolutely nothing during his entire tenure with the Wolves. I'd say trade him, but I doubt there'd be any takers.

I would like to know why Adleman starts or even plays Wes Johnson over Williams, Beasley, Webster or even Randolph. He says that you have to earn your playing time, but what is Wes doing to earn his playing time? Maybe I don't want to know...

Coach, don't be so stubborn, at least try something different.

I agree, slamman. It's not like he'd be risking disrupting the perfect chemistry of the starting five, as there is no chemistry.
