Rosy budget forecast doesn't solve everything

Children come first! Pay the schools what you borrowed from them first. Then work on the rest. The children have been neglected too long

Too bad Dayton didn't get to spend an extra billion we didn't, never will have. Am glad we finally have responsible people holding the check book of the people.

After reading this article, I sure do hope that neither Governor Mark Dayton, nor the Minnesota Legislature, promised Zygi Wilf & crew ANYTHING. I'm really, Really, REALLY "curious" about HOW the State of Minnesota is going to come up with the "much talked about" $300 MILLION for the new Vikings stadium. Money that that State of Minnesota simply does NOT have. Or, did I read the article incorrectly?

This doesn't solve anything because this years buyer is built on 2billion in borrowed school and tobbacco money. The hole will still be there next session. They just pushed the problem into the future. Now what about those good paying jobs?

I hope there is enough intellectual horsepower in the legislature to understand that handing any money at all to the Zygi or the Vikings would not only be a huge financial mistake, it would be a great disservice to the people of Minnesota.
