Scoggins: Wolves no longer defensive about defense

Somebody could check the statistic -- I know it's not 100% but it's close -- which is this predictor of when the Wolves will win a game: When they allow the other team to score over 100 points, they lose; when they hold the other side to under 100 points, the Wolves win. It's all about defense.

To say that Rubio has quietly become effective on the defensive end is a HUGE understatement. It's like saying Shaq is just a bit taller than the average guy on the street. Rubio, despite his inconsistent shot, has the best defensive anticipation of anyone I have seen in quite some time. Watching him play defense is sheer joy, whereas his offensive game is a work in progress, especially since the league now knows his tendencies.

Good point snooze! I agree and was pleasantly surprised. I believe the "fill-in-your-sport IQ" is a overused term. But, you know it when you see it. And, it instantly improves any lineup. I'm not calling HOF just yet. But, IQ and longevity will get you there.
