Being from Missoula Montana and both a Grizzlies and Viking fan, this article thrilled me. Thanks Dan for showing some of these small schools also have good competitors. You don't have to look too far, Jared Allen comes from our Big Sky conference as does Dan Carpenter (starting Dolphin kicker). Trumaine is a good kid and "has been a great corner back for us" (The Griz). I hope now I can still say that "he's a great safety for us" (the Vikes).

Sounds like a kid who wants to play football and doesn't mind playing any positions or in any type of schemes. The Vikes needs hungry players who are out to prove themselves. Good size with good speed. I like the fact that he says he wants to play with good techniques. Anyone watching the Vikes last year, our DBs and Safeties were horrible with techniques! Doesn't matter what conference as long as they are football players. Brian Urlacher came out of New Mexico and he's having a good NFL career.

Yes a kid with desire..we need about 10 of them this draft and get rid of the "dead wood"

Seems like the type of player we're looking for. Size and speed are qualities the Vikes covet. We need physical, aggressive, ball-hawking DBs and Safeties. We also need to implement more man-on-man schemes, rather than our normal fall back into our lazy cover 2. I can't remember our defensive backfield being in worse shape. We need a lot back there. I hope the Vikes consider free-agency as well to help stop the bleeding.

I have this BELIEF in former quaterbacks turned Defensive backs, think Darren Sharper. Someone who has captained an offense, is uniquely suited to captain a defense, analyze offenses, make proper adjustments, play with quaterbaks' heads... I want this guy!

Watched his career here at Mt. When teams did dare to throw or even run in his direction they usually payed dearly. High caracter guy, met his family, good people. Asked them to send us any more of their kids. High 3rd round may be a little high but the scouts will know better than I about that.
