In what could have been a showcase game before the trade deadline, the team showed it was more ready to fight on than fold.

That looked like a bunch of guys who were enjoying playing the game, enjoying playing for each other and enjoying being part of the Minn. Wild. I believe you call that chemistry ! Welcome to the next generation of the Mn. Wild !! Keep it up guys !!!

Cullen has scored in three of the last four games so the AP guy is out of touch

ARRey sez: How about Number 55 possibly playing the best he has since 2009?

I say to the Coach Yeo critics, it is quit amazing to see what Yeo can do with some additional NHL players on the team. It appears that Fletcher added some quality to the team with the return he got for Zids! This season likely will not result in the playoffs, but if the effort we saw tonight carries over on a consistent, the young players will get a chance this and next year to develope with some good role models. Also, if Clutter continues to put forth the effort we've seen the last few games (Boston & Sharks)I would like to see him with an A on his jersey next year. GO WILD!!!

55's best game ? I was at the game and 55 should be benched for cowardice. Someone, may have been Cullen, was getting mugged big time, face rubbed into the ice, etc. and Schultz and Zanon never moved below the circles. The new kid looked OK, better than the call ups of recent times. The Sharks are not as good as people think, I could see them miss the playoffs. One other observation, Burns is a punk. He was hacking people all night.

sigh...everyone plz calm down with Schultz..He had a very good game, got his goal, actually played somewhat physical(VERY rare for #55). @Washburn:COMPLETELY agree about schultz and he is sooo vanilla and the last guy I would want watching my back anytime, never sticks up for his teammates and is just painful to watch anymore..The Wild looked good in the second and third periods, and was great to see the whiney and overrated Sharks leave the excel with a goose egg..

I can't imagine this team not not making the playoffs with Backstrom in the nets, BUT players must treat him like royalty during the games, tonight the Wild could do better, they left Royalty out to dry, poor Mister Backstrom in the first period.. Matt Cullen is playing like a true leader of this team, they are not missing a beat without Koivou, Let put the C on Cullens chest as he is scoring each game. The Wild could use another ham and egger center at the trade deadline, that should not require the WILD to give up any of their pretend superstar prospects

When I saw the SJS goalie let in a bad goal by CC, it reminded me of the bad goal Harding let in a few weeks back.

Lets face the facts, this was San Jose 9th straight game on the road, got hammered in Nashville last night,if the Wild did not win this game they should have all gone down to the minors.Their goalie was awful ours good enough to win. All the Cullen haters should take note how this guy plays with this average team a proven solid NHL player. After watching the NHL channel, Hockey Night in Canada the Zid deal rests on Palmerie (bad spelling) developes are he played his way out of the lineup in New Jersey. The other two guys have expiring contracts maybe keeping Foster.Another big win over L.A. coming in would really help.Probably will be high scoring since neither team scores much.
