The actual active-duty commandos in "Act of Valor"should have fought for a better movie.

I didn't think it was that bad. Like most action movies, a little light on plot, but this columnist makes it out to be on par with some crappy Seagal B movie, which it's not. If you are a fan of good gun play, you will like this movie.

It's a fun movie to watch but the acting of the real soldiers isn't very good.

This writer has his own agenda : "What it means is that I think" ! 'It is a fine movie and the audience clapped at the end - made you feel GOOD to be an AMERICAN !

My, how militaristic and xenophobic our society has become. Colin, it is the right and duty of citizens to criticize the military. Last time I checked we weren't run by a junta and "Service Means Citizenship" wasn't the law of the land. Where is Eisenhower when you need him.

This movie was fabulous, and very inspiring. Makes one think about this Country and who we allow into it also. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I think this is a movie that more people need to see....

I really enjoyed this movie, it was impressive to see what these soldiers are capable of and how they work as a team. The equipment and how it is used really impressed me. I wouldn't want these guys coming after me. Also it makes you think about the debt we all owe to our fellow citizens who serve and the sacrifices made by them and their families.

Please explain to me why when we're at war in 3-4 different country, that Navy Seals could take months off to shoot a movie? Are these Seals in Training? Why not hire Willis, Schwartsneger, Ventura, and Stallone to do another military recruiting shoot em up? There are no reasons to do this except to recruit and to propagandize for an upcoming war. I'll go see a Reese Witherspoon movie instead with my wife.

We don't need any more military propaganda OK? The world aren't ruled by Muslim Fanatics. They are ruled by ruthless bankers who uses our military and our tax money to wage war across the globe. Our military are NOT defending anyone's freedom. They are pawns used by these bankers to occupy the Middle East and to wipe out all Muslims that live in that area of the world. Time for people to wake up and realize that the military should be used for one reason: Defending our National Security and our borders. Not to wage war overseas and topple governments.

"Please explain to me why when we're at war in 3-4 different country, that Navy Seals could take months off to shoot a movie?" Well, obviously, so a liberal ingrate like yourself can sit around on your butt all day complaining about the U.S. military picking on poor extremists who fly airplanes into buildings and cut peoples heads off.
