Four days before the All-Star Game returns to Orlando 20 years after his unforgettable MVP performance there, Hall of Famer Magic Johnson was asked Wednesday generally about the impressive state of point guards these days and specifically about rookies Ricky Rubio and Kyrie Irving.

Pekovic ppg is 12.4 and rebounds is 7 per game, Favors ppg is 8 and rebounds 5. To top that off, Pek has been huge for the Wolves for wins. Looks like a Slovakian slight to me.

The Wolves already have two players in the rising stars game. Three might be excessive. I think that is the biggest reason why Pek wasn't included. It just isn't that big of a deal. Also, on the ROY stuff. Who really cares? Wins and losses matter. Would you rather have the ROY on your team, or go to the playoffs?

I agree with gsacks. It's all about wins and losses. ROY honors will likely go to Irving. He's good, and he's more explosive and dynamic than Ricky, but I think our team is better for having Rubio on it.

Slamman: I am pretty sure Pekovic is a Serb from Montenegro. He may have been slighted but Serbs are used to that.
