The governor said he is still hopeful but won't use the word "optimistic" anymore as supporters await Minneapolis council backing.

Of course the people up North feel it's ok for the people of Minneapolis to pay for another stadium! It should be state wide for The People's stadium.

Time for the Mnpls city council to do their elected job and vote this plan up or down without hiding behind a referendum. I strongly disagree with our State republicans for using referendums and I disagree with the city council for doing the same.

There's no deal because there's no reason to throw money at a stadium when we already have one with a new roof and playing surface.

The reason an agreement hasn't been reached is simple: Zygi isn't getting all he wants (ie, all revenue while the taypayers pick up the tab, and are left holding the bag if/when something goes wrong). Money that would be put into a stadium could be better spent, say, reinspecting every single bridge in the state, and repairing them if necessary. Any money left over can go to the schools. Just say no to Wilfcare!

Our elected officials need to realize that we toil to pay taxes so that government carefully spends them on needs, not wants.

This stadium boondoggle is neither a need nor a want for taxpayers. It is definitely a need for Zygi Wilf. If not for stiff public opposition, our elected officials would have given away the whole house to Zygi.

Thanks to every citizen fighting this, whether you are a libertarian, liberal, or conservative.
