I doubt the guy was a Marine and probably was written by some antiwar activist from the 60's that just has to keep this crap in the news!!
One additional thing - I know the photo is real and really did happen and it is never a good thing when civilians and children pay the price in war.
Nick Ut is a friend of mine. We were colleagues in the Saigon bureau of The Associated Press. I also know the grown-up Kim Phuc. Nick saved her life, no doubt. I guarantee that the "napalm girl" photo is genuine. Kinda makes you wonder why someone wants to say otherwise 40 years after the fact.
