The Twins lost Cuddyer, Kubel and Nathan largely due to your 23 mil salary.

As a Lifetime and franchise long fan, we should expect at least a little EFFORT for the $23 Really BIG ones that you are making after essentially taking the entire 2011 season off.

Mauer will be in the top three of MVP voting in 2012. Guaranteed.

The sooner Mauer and Morneau retire, the sooner anyone should pay money for any Twins tickets. Until then, the Twins are an embarrassment.

Geez, what is with all of the we's, Mauer? We decided this, we decided that. How about taking responsibility for yourself and start saying when I decided ... or I would do ... Well, at least you learned that having surgery promptly at the end of the season is a plus in helping recovery time. Geez, isn't that common sense? Boy, you have a lot of proving to do this year on the field. Shut the trap and prove it on the field. Enough!

Tubby Smith will either not recruit really good players, or he will recruit some and they will leave. I have had enough Tubby. The Gophers are going nowhere with him, except the bottom half of the Big Ten.

Ya know, when I read this kind of thing it makes me yearn for the days of someone like Kirby, or Morris, or Molitor, to name just some of the examples. I mean, can you imagine Mauer even saying to himself "I gotta drive this bus" in a crucial game, much less telling his teammates to jump on that bus?

The Truth -- either good or bad -- will be revealed come May. Unfortunately, pro sports, and especially baseball with its 80 home games per season, has become too expensive for an average person to experience regularly in person -- so thanks, Joe, for helping with that.

I really like the Twins. I used to have a lot of respect for Mauer but that picture says it all: Joe Mauer spring training with a 9-year old. He's coming off the worst year of his career with probably the most important year starting in a couple of months and he's spending this precious time training with a child. I'm glad to see you're making sound decisions now Joe!

What a surprise, another scoop by Sid. Joe Mauer is optimistic about the season. Hard-hitting, investigative journalism at it's best. Think Pulitzer, Sid.
