Fines like this against Corporations for Safety Violations and Acts detrimental to the Environment are just a slap on the Wrist...Pocket Change...'Vat a Joke!!!!

BarryBen - If Ron Paul and the GOP had its way there would be no EPA to slap wrists. Industry could do as it pleases. I remember going out to my car in the morning in Duluth and find "Cement Dust" coating it. How much did I breath in during any given day? Nobody knows but that wasn't the only pollutant in the air. This was before the EPA was ever dreamed of

When are they going to start fining counties and townships for all the dust that comes off their gravel roads. My car needs washing everyday during the summer because of the dust caused by others driving by. What a joke!

mankato58, The joke might be on you. It depends what road you drive on. Taconite tailings, complete with asbestos and asbestos-like fibers have been used on Minnesota roads for decades. It can take decades for asbestos dust to kill.
