The defenseman waived his no-trade clause with New Jersey in mind, but Wild GM Chuck Fletcher hasn't asked for such a move.

If Elias thinks that Zidlicky is ...mean..., then that means that Schultz is Jason Voorhees, Zanon is Michael Myers, Spurgeon is Freddy Krueger and Prosser is Leatherface. Give me a break.

Pretty gutsy move by Zid,obviously he didn't like the idea of my way or the highway. I was never a fan of his defensive play and thought he took way too many penalties at bad times but he did provide some good offense in the past. Rookie coach mistake of being unable to listen to players ideas, you don't have to agree but if you think you already know it all you're wrong. Case in point, the PP.

Just get rid of him already. I don't care if the best thing we can get for him is a broken stick signed by Parise. He's more of a crybaby than Havlat was and we're a much better team without him. Get rid of that $4 million nightmare and use it to sign a quality d-man this off-season.

Notice Fletcher said nothing about his team being distracted and how that might get in the way of them winning any games. Keep buying tickets. They are 5 points back from being in the playoffs, on the radio I heard Mackenzie say that he has never seen a team fall apart like this team has

I have been calling for Zidlicky's head since last year, not that me calling matters but I very thankful that Russo called him out and then Yeo did also. Didnt mind the trade for him at the time but 4/mil a year for his brand of hockey is nonsense. He is comparable to Marc-Andre Bergeron haha in that he adds very little defensively and his offense does not compensate enough to make it worth it. Not to say he doesnt have talent but I have always thought his attitude and effort have plagued whatever potential he had to be more than average. I think the breaking point came with Burns gone and Zidlicky no longer able to blend in. Cant believe any team would want him to be honest.

"Outside of our locker room, there's not a person in the world that probably thinks we're going to make the playoffs, so let's use that,"....OMG!!!! this the same garbage we'd hear from Denny Green! And we all know how well that worked out!! In reference to how a game went, Yeo says he doesn't need to "check the tape" ( he should for he hasn't a clue) but he must get better at the cliches, for this one is risible! Good work CF!

Why would you EVER let any player with this attitude, ever dress again? Put him back up in the press box until someone delivers a box of pucks for this stiff. 0 goals in 39 games? You are an offensive machine ZIDS! Cya!

Nothing worse than a crybaby millionaire. Please Yeo do not put him in a Wild uniform again!

The unfortunate thing about this guy is that he thinks he is one of the premier players in the NHL. I would guess you could go back to his youth days and hear from coaches and teammates about how arrogant he is. He is a cancer, and will be not matter where he plays.

There is no need to blow the team up at this point, as doing that will not help the present, and would most likely delay making the team better for next year. Instead, start making moves in preparation next year. Evaluate the players you have in the entire system, here and in Houston. Determine which of those players you want to keep, and where they will play. Decide which players you find useful as trade material, and which you simply won't offer a contract to. Look at your prospects and decide where they will fit in the system. Look at the free agents and which ones would fit into your system and team. When you look at what Fletcher and the management are doing now, I think you'll see that they are doing all of those things now, going about things in a very logical, systematic way that will show fruit next season. If anything they do now improves team play for the rest of this season, that's purely a bonus, but I think they have written off this season as the second big losing streak grows longer and longer, with no signs of it ending any time soon. This team has shown that when they are given the opportunity to rise to a challenge, such as coming back and beating Columbus after losing to them 4 days earlier, they roll over and say, "maybe some other time". As much as I'd like to think they'd want a measure of revenge after being physically beaten to a pulp by Winnipeg, but history says they most likely will again be beaten to a pulp in a losing effort. At least the busloads of Jets fans will have a great time.
