gabriel, Bushmill's is Protestant whiskey ... Jameson's is all Catholic, lad! And while Two Gingers is pretty decent, it would be sacrilegious to consume any of the Americanized swill on the celebratory day of St. Patrick's. By the way, a couple of customers "invented" and named the drink a "Ginger" ... not Folliard. He started calling it a "Big Ginger" after it went from a Old Fashioned tumbler (Low Ball) to a High Ball glass.

Whiskey Gingers were popular for at least a decade before 2005 and thus in the public domain.

Bravo PR Department!! This is how you create awareness at no cost! If the regualr Joe didnt know what or where to get a Big Ginger before; they do now! The story here folks is that Kierans is open for buisness to serve you his whiskey on St. Patricks day! Dont forget you can get all the same at The Local and Coopers!

Two Gingers is awful, and this comes from someone who drinks at least 10 glasses of Irish whiskey a week, either straight up or with a couple of ice cubes, never with a mixer. Powers is my economy brand, though Jameson will do if a bar doesn't have Powers, Red Breast or Knappogue Castle if I'm in the mood for a nice treat. Even Michael Collins, Tullamore Dew, Killbegan and Tyrconnell are all whiskeys that I would choose before Two Gingers

Hammer: true, Bushmills is Protestant-owned but the employees are Catholics. Or at least that's what they told me when I visited Belfast. I do prefer Bushmills of the three but we all have our crosses to bear, so to speak.
