It was the same old story for the Gophers, who showed flashes against No. 6 Ohio State but again came up short.

Just utter frustration for this program. They were not ready for this game. Just looked out of it all night. Oh Rodney, you could be a high flyer... just make those darn free throws.

Turn out the lights on the Gophers shot at making the NCAA tourney, eh? Too much losing at The Barn...

Th Gophers are simnply an awful team as they have been for quite awhile. They cannot compete with good teams and ahve trouble beating average teams. With or without Mkwabe, they have been an NIT team at best all season and nothing more. Tubby should be fielding better teams by now.

Maddening game, considering Williams was the best player on the court when he wanted to be. An AAU-like performance during the 0-20 run followed by serious tenacity for the last 25 minutes or so. RSIII playing in the Turkish pro league same time next year.

ok the team has no leader and no fire, but after coaching for many years I have to ask why you allow the opponent to go on a 20-0 run without calling a time out? They are allowed to use those aren't they. Maybe Tubby has an incentive clause for unused time outs........pathetic effort including the coaching staff.......more Gopher losing.

Getting tired of watching Tubby watch his team get stomped without calling a timeout. As soon as the Gophers make more than two baskets the other coach stops the game. Maybe he is just admiring the opposition teamwork and trying to figure out why he can't get his team to play like that.

Tubby Smith will coach as long as he want's here, and that is a shame. Just tonight: 1)Can't figure out a starting 5 that want's to play 2)Doesn't use a TO during 20-0 run until it is to late 3)Play's man against a team that can't shoot straight and has a big man inside. 4)Finally after getting momentum at the half put's same starting 5 out, and goes back to man. Zero NCAA Tourney win's in five years. Kid's played hard, they have no chance with this man as there head coach.

What's really sad is most people don't remember or know that just fifteen years ago, you would EXPECT the Gophers to beat a top 10 team at home. They were so good at the Barn and got so much media attention. Now we talk about a rudderless NHL team, and an NBA team that hasn't been relivent in almost ten years. Come on Kaler it's time to really focus on getting this team back to relevancy.

not sure why the second half of the article is pseudo-latin, but losing by 10 to OSU is nothing to be ashamed of. duke lost by 22 iirc.
