Social equity is a worthy goal. Everyone should be given opportunities, but whether they take them is up to individuals. In America, adults are free to make their own decisions, even poor ones.

Equity a goal? Some are more equal than the rest of us in this animal farm. Protecting liberty is the only job of government. The Overseer (Comrade Dayton) wants equity, as long as he and his church buddies are more equal than us.

Dayton's "Governor Moonbeam's" approach to solving social-economic problems hasn't worked in the past and won't work in the future.

Gov Dayton does really want equal opportunity for all,he actually wants or even demands equal outcomes of all. That kind of lunacy did not work under communism, and certainly will not work under democracy.

Markie, tell them you are for equity, and then tell them they will never have it because you can't give it to them, it is something that is earned. Thanks Gov Equity. BTW, then let them know how much a stadium for Zygi will cost them as well.

Everyone wants "equity" for all, right? Well, there seems to be an easy enough fix. Every liberal that has been harping about this can take their income above the national average, be it from investments, trusts, employment or inheritence, and allow the government to tax it at a rate of 45%. That way, it can be given to all those other libs that have been demanding someone else's money and everyone will have that "warm all over" feeling of caring for their fellow man, while those evil "rich" Republicans can continue about the business of growing the economy and those that believe in self responsibility.

Getting more people on the government dole is not the equity solution that will solve our social problems. How many more generations need to be destroyed from realizing the american dream? Keeping them addicted to, and increasing the dependency of the liberal give away, has not, will not, and never has worked.

Seek to even disparities? Is this pray for me, or prey on me?

Every person in the US has the opportunity to get an education... to work hard... to be successful... and to make money....

Unfortunately Dayton's idea of social equity is to increase taxes on those who take advantage of the opportunities, and work hard for a living... and then increase the entitlements to those who chose not to take advantage of the opportunities...

This has always been the liberal idea of social equity!!!

Forced equity & guaranteed outcomes? That sounds like justice doesn't it?
