Cobwebs of concussion still haunt Bouchard

He's holding out hope to return this season. But that possibility, like the Wild's playoff chances in the West, is growing more faint.

I feel bad for the guy but it's time to move on. He'll come back next year for a few games then suffer yet another concussion. He's too small and injury prone. I hope to god something similar doesn't happen to Granlund when he comes here.

How can this guy POSSIBLY have another year left on his contract? Can't we get rid of this nightmare. He's been chewing up $4.25M a season for years now, and he's worth none of it. The same crap year after year, and even when he was healthy this year, he looked like crap for the first 20 games. Even Gorg called him out on that. Get this guy to retire. Really. The PMB and Backstrom contracts have been killing this team for years.

Shame on the game the NHL has created if PMB is too small, that is a tragedy. PMB should retire but not because he is too small. He was able to avoid hits for a very long time or until the game changed. You sit out a year or better because of a serious head injury and that will change the way you play the game, Its like driving scared behind the wheel of a car.... Should he retire ? yes he has been rewarded for his trade very well, I would think he can move on now..... If he retires does he lose the 4.25 million ? Would Bobo walk from 4 million ? If he loses the 4 million I would sit down and work out a settlement to walk

Hits from behind should be immediate dismissal from the NHL!!!

I think the NHL needs to address the problems clubs face by allowing cap exemptions for long term injuries. If a player is in a situation like PMB or Marc Savard where they need to be shut down for a full season, the teams should be allowed to have the opportunity to replace the roster spot and cap hit. Just like work comp, the NHL should have a policy covering injuries that end or drastically alter a players career. Time to hang up the skates Butch.

Bobo, this is MPB's fault? Seriously? Obviously, you need to go back and struggle to get your GED before you comment any further.

wildinwisFeb. 13, 1210:57 AM

being married to someone who has had multiple concussions...PMB..retire..its NOT worth what happens to your mind, not fun living with someone who can't make simple decisions anymore..but used to function with a quick mind...look ahead & enjoy your future & family....

wildinwisFeb. 13, 1211:02 AM

p.s. I always like what you bring to the wishes for a speedy recovery PMB!!!

elmore1Feb. 13, 1211:04 AM

PMB and Marion G are the 2 most electrifying players the Wild have had. Good luck!

All of the issues we have at the youth hockey level stem from the NHL. Fighting, open ice wipe-out hits and head hunting should not be a part of hockey. Checking is intended to separate a player from the puck - but the attacker is supposed to be able to take the puck away. The NHL needs to recognize what it's done to hockey and make some drastic changes and get this great game back to what it was intended to be - fast, full of skill and fun... There's my $.02.
