Legislators say there's little buzz at the Capitol, but details on a stadium next to the Dome will come out soon.

Sure, wait until next year...the answer will remain the same. No public money. Pay for your own play pen, or find private sources of funding to do it. You can't take from the rest of us to enrich yourself. Most people in this state aren't as stupid as the stadium backers.

"The Vikings have tried to create the impression, through somewhat subtle threats, that they could move," said Rep. Ryan Winkler, DFL-Golden Valley. "But ... I think there's a growing realization that the Vikings have nowhere to go." Call their bluff. I have said this numerous times over the months and repeat it. They ain't going no where. A new roof and a new field-what more does a team need to play a game in the upper midwest?

This isn't the year, and this isn't the site. Next session, after election, with inclusion of Hennepin County, excluding Minneapolis. At the Farmer's Market site.

As it should lose urgency. NFL commisioner Roger Goodell just recently said that the LA market is being reserved for an expansion team. If it was anyone besides the Wilfs owning this team, I'd be more for it. The fact is, though, the Wilfs are but using the franchise for a real estate investment; and the slick, fast-food manner by which they hire coaches and GM's proves this. 50+ years of champion-less football, folks. Any mere talk of a new stadium needs to be contigent on the team first making a Super Bowl. Time to put the foot down on this franchise's losing ways.

It makes me sick to here that the Vikings need a new stadium. We need to replace bridges. We need to replace the money we cut from city/county governments. We need to replace the money we cut from schools.

I have a feeling that they will announce relocation on Thursday. There is no chance this gets done here. I wish it were not the case.

To My Fellow Minneapolis Taxpayers and Residents: Mayor Rybak and Minneapolis City Council President Barbara Johnson are attempting to violate the City of Minneapolis Charter by proceeding with the Vikings stadium and Target Center subsidies while depriving us of the referendum vote to which we're entitled under the City Charter. The referendum requirement was "voted in" to the Charter in 1997 by approximately 70% of the electorate. It prohibits the City of Minneapolis from spending more than $10 million on facilities for professional sports teams without referendum approval. Rybak and Johnson are trying to skirt the referendum requirement because they know their stadium subsidy scheme will not withstand the scrutiny which would accompany a referendum. Please join me in demanding that Mayor Rybak and Minneapolis City Council President Barbara Johnson either stop attempting to disenfranchise us by violating the City Charter or resign their offices.

So it's getting more expensive to build one every year, and they use that to warn us that we need to save money on Wilfare? How about no Wilfare, and Zygi better get to buying it now or he'll have to pay even more!

NFL officials have discussed expansion. As was the case when Major League Baseball expanded, expansion removes options for relocation. State legislators should get down to business. This isn't part of it. The Vikings? Going nowhere.
