House OKs curb on insider trading

The ethics measure, authored by U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, must now be reconciled with a Senate version.

Excuse me if I think that this well-meaning effort will be circumvented. The money always finds the intended target. That is the way of the world and good luck trying to change it.

WOW, congress can actually get something done! Go figure. Why do I suspect that they left a backdoor open somewhere in the bill that will allow them to profit anyway.....it's all about money.

You are right on, sawman. Scratch the surface of the bill and you'll find some "Congressional loopholes" that will allow the same old business as usual to continue. I have NO faith in Congress anymore. There is no critical mass of "ethical or moral" members anymore. It's a "all for me" mentality that prevails. I guess the great democratic experiment is near completion and the results will be that it just doesn't work in the long run.
