Defenseman Clayton Stoner was placed on injured reserve Thursday because of a leg injury, which might mean more ice time for little-used Mike Lundin.

"We don't want to do anything that takes away our ability to make the playoffs." I think Fletcher must have been misquoted, what he meant to say was "We don't want to do anything." And he's doing a fine job of it too.

"our ability to make the playoffs".....we don't have one!!! If #3 is willing to waive his NTC...start with him & get him moved!!

What is the big deal IF we make the playoffs? We wont make the second round, so its a big deal to watch the Wild play 3 extra games at the end of the year? We are years away from being a playoff team. Lets not focus on making the playoffs right now. How about going back to the basics, How to be ready for game night 101. Puck SHOOTING 101. How to play a complete game 101.

100% agree with mr bluesky. Who cares about the playoffs when we there is no way we go past the first round. Oh, they may make more money for making it - thats who cares.

Is Falk and Stoner really NHL defensemen? NO. Falk is bigger than most players but is always getting beat or throwing the puck away. No lockerroom leadership (these veterans should be ashamed at themselves for taking a paycheck). Better get some defensemen or you will never compete at this level.

mrbluesky - the big deal is revenue. Those 3 games bring in a bunch of dinero for the club and that's why it's so important for them to push for the 8th spot. I wish they would look to the future now - they're close, but need more top end talent that can score.

I don't care who they move but bring Scandella back from the minors. He's part of this team's future and he's wasting away down there. He needs to learn the NHL game from NHL coaches and team mates. Dumbest move by far this year was sending him down. You've got to stick with your future. They could have traded Zanon/Zids much earlier and now it's bcome a debacle. Listen to Yeo in this story :We have too many D but we don't want too few. Pick 7 guys and go with them. Get rid of the ones you don't want and be done with it. This team needs to build for the future and they are just stalling because they got some early season success. Classic rookie move.
