Allina's new name focuses on health, not hospitals

The change to Allina Health comes as reform efforts emphasize prevention.

Jackie, I'd check the naming history paragraph. I worked for Allina at the time and the Hatch events was not the catalyst for the Allina name. That preceded Hatch's shenanigans by almost five years if my memory serves me.

Allina was warned by the State and by a couple of major insurers not to expand their hospitals, heart center, and other major capex because the demand was not there. They did anyways and now have more empty beds than a Denny Hecker mansion. I don't think a name change will fix that.
