Give the rookie a chance. The overall number 2 pick needs more time than he is being given. Like Wes Johnson is a beast out on the court...c'mon man.

Everyone said he was the wrong pick for this team at #2. They are apparently correct.

"Everyone said he was the wrong pick for this team at #2. They are apparently correct." Everyone said there would be fans that would overreact to a rookie's slow start. Apparently they were correct.

Just give him time to adjust. You can see the athletic potential and skill-set he has. This is his rookie season and he may or may not show what he can do until his second year. ONE THING FOR SURE - He will have a significantly greatly impact than Wesley Johnson for this team whenever he plays extended minutes...

From what I have read Williams never played SF going back to his High School Days.He always played PF(NBA draft.net). Considering that Love will play that position for as long as he is here I do not see Williams ever getting that much playing time unless Love is injured or gets into foul trouble.I suspect that he will start tonight at PF since he is the backup to Love.Going into last years's draft the Wolves biggest need and still is at SG.In hindsight it is possible that the Wolves should have traded that pick for an elite SG but that is the past.Even if the Wolves trade Beasley as many fans here seem to want I doubt very much that Williams will be able to play much SF.Wesley is a more effective defender and more natural SF.I still like the combo of Johnson/Beasley at SF.Maybe Williams is the guy that could trade to bring a good SG to the Wolves. It seems unlikely that Kahn will do this however. At some point some of these players are going to start to complaining about lack of minutes. It seems like Williams has already started.

Williams talks a lot & thus far hasn't backed it up. He shoots a lot but not very well, especially from 3 point range. He needs to get to the paint & finish strong but so far that part of his game hasn't developed at this level other than occasional dunks. Kevin Love will monopolize power forward minutes so expect single digit minutes this year unless he can develop into a SF. It's early but eerily reminiscent of #4 pick Johnson & #6 pick Flynn.

Why not move big D-Will to Shooting Guard? Got to be an improvement of epic proportions other than Wes Johnson.

While Irving has proven to be more NBA-ready than Williams, Williams is going to be a MONSTER. He needs more playing time as well as one offseason to work on certain aspects of his game. By next season, we will see the true D Will. He is the last person on this team I am worried about. Love has improved tremendously each offseason, and D Will is going to do the same.
