Great deal for Prosser, the Wild and the Minnesota fans. Good solid player who will get even better with time. Great that Backstrom gets the start - he deserves it. I Would still bring Harding in for the shoot-outs (no - he would not have a problem being "cold" - he goes into games with no notice, he can warm up for 4-5 minutes and jump in there.). Would also help to have a few players that could score in shoot-outs. Maybe sign Rolston and you know he would at least attempt to blast a slapshot by these guys - slapper from 30 feet out?...my money is on the shooter.

Nice to see Nate get rewarded with a contract. His attitude is a good example for his team mates. His hard work, never complain, team type of attitude is refreshing to see. It would be nice to see it rub off on some of the others.

One more piece in next year's defense lineup has been put in place. I'm glad to see that Yeo has seen improvement in Prosser's game each time he has been called up, unlike most of the forwards they've called up from Houston. One guy I'd like to see more of is Kassian, as he's shown signs that he wants to be more than an enforcer. I was surprised that he didn't play in Dallas last time, but if he shows signs of improvement, perhaps he will also end up on the team next season. Now, let's hope that the Wild can pick up a top defenseman like Suter in the future to really make that blueline a scoring threat as well as a smothering defense.

Rolston, really? No retreads thank you very much, the man got the deal of a lifetime and is not making his money....I say stay away. Also, you can only switch goalies BEFORE the shootout, which would mean during OT. As far as the D goes, I don't think we need an all-star, but we need some quality veterans to anchor the back-end. Get it done Fletch.

I think the Wild definitely needs to go after a defenseman like Suter, not just for now, but for the future to help the young defenseman in their development. I'm especially thinking of Brodin, who looks to be a great future defenseman who could only benefit from playing with someone like Suter.
