I firmly back gay marriage. If straight guys have to suffer, so should gay guys.

I firmly back gay marriage. If straight guys have the right to marry someone they love, so should gay guys.

There are no secular rational reasons to deny same-sex marriage and we need to stop certain religious zealots from codifying their religious beliefs into public law.

"Through a spokesman, Blankfein declined to comment." Blankfein should take advantage of every opportunity to support the gay community. Maybe the NYT is onto something: This is nothing more than a PR play.

Churches already have the right to marry (or not marry) who they want. It is an unwarranted intrusion into the private lives of Americans, in addition to regligion coopting secular authority, to demand that the State follow their doctrine.

I am also a conservative and I too believe in gay marriage. I think that most conservatives beieve that people have the right to do what they want with their lives as long as they don't infringe on other's rights. Also, please remember that our current president, the leader of the liberals, is against gay marriage.

Most Fortune 500 companies in the US give health care benefits to same sex couples. To recruit the best and the brightest to your company, it is bad form to limit your options in who you will hire. P.S. imalucifan, you are mistaken- the only people who ever thought Obama was a liberal were the conservative talking heads. He's never been liberal, just a pragmatist Dem.

I laughed at the disclaimer at the end announcing that he was married to a woman with three children... I swear people assume that if you publicly support equal treatment for all people in regards to marriage that you are homosexual. As a heterosexual there is nothing less threatening than the idea that gay people have the same rights as non-gay people. If you want to be small minded that is your right, but stop assuming YOU know the best way for everyone else to live.

Imaluciafan: Please back up your statement that Obama is against gay marriage. He has been nuetral on the topic and has been working on improving rights for gays. He just ended don't ask don't tell. Rome was not built in a day.

Amazon, Starbucks, Apple, Microsoft and many other companies have come out in support of gay marriage. Target has decided to be neutral on the subject and Best Buy hasn't said anything. Guess I'll be giving my business to Amazon and Starbucks.
