Like Ron Reagan, Beard jumps in front of an on-going parade and pretends to lead it and take credit. He, Tim the candidate for higher office and the Rassler gov all ignored roads, bridges and funding for same for years. NOW, finally, things move forward. There will still be a need for the current gov, who has a clue, and new legislative leadership in 2013 to get this done finally. City and county leaders deserve thanks for this; Scott Co legislative delegation has done zip, only lip service on this years. Plant corn...get corn!

Jack - your wrong. Scott county gov't and Carver gov't has tried for years to improve this road. they tried to get a new bridge in as well that wont flood. The eco-nazi's shot it down. look at those people who fight any roads/bridges. if its not light rail they fight it all the way.
