Casey has some NHL level skills in that he has good speed and a good shot but when the Wild's effort to convert to a speed and skill team went haywire things simply did not work out for Wellman. Since Yeo has taken over they have been going back to a playoff proven grinding style which did not fit CW's game very well. Maybe NY will work for him ??

Sad to hear Nolan is retiring, but good for him. I enjoyed watching him play here and was disappointed when the Wild didnt resign him. We are due to get a player who has been under performing, and comes here and find his game. Hopefully it will be Christenson.

Good luck Casey, We are obviously so well stocked at forward we will probably pull ourselves out of the goals for cellar (28th in the NHL)without you. We have brilliant leadership that has made a masterful trade. We now have this guy who has averaged over 6 goals each season during his entire NHL career. So we don't need you. Have a good life. All that nice stuff Chuck said about you when we signed you should be a good memory. It is for me.

And speaking of wasting assets, what ever happened to that promising player, Marco Scandella? You can't learn to play in the NHL by playing in the AHL. Just ask Patrick O'Sullivan. Or Casey wellman.

Funny, I decide to go see what the New Yorkers have to say about Christensen. Everything from worthless to very worthless. We'll see. Like Jabuyer i hate to see Wellman go. How soon we forget how well he was playing before his injury and how he sparked that second line. Just made no sense he got rewarded with being demoted to 4th line after playing so well. He may have been small but he had no problem going to the net, just nobody could get the puck there.
