The potential free agent center probably will get a big raise, either here or somewhere else.

Night in and night out this kid shows up. He deserves a good contract. Big mistake by the Wild if they let him walk.

I'll take Brodziak over Cullen anyday. Re-sign Brodz and let Cullen walk after next season.

I really hope we re-sign Brodz. He has a lot of heart and is capable of moving up to the second line for a short stint if it's required. Throw in the fact that he is only coming in to his prime and you have to conclude that there are very few reasons why the Wild wouldn't re-sign him. Hopefully he isn't asking for too much money, because I would hate to see a passionate grinder like him walk or get traded. So often the 3rd and 4th line guys are the ones that give an identity to the team. Brodziak is one of those special players who will just get it done in a non-glamorous role, and it would be great to have him on board for the next few years.

We need to sign Brodziak, he is the heart and soul, Mr Consistant. I am a Harding fan and I am embarrassed for him.

Brodziak keeps getting more and more valuable all the time. I already wanted him to be resigned based on all he has done in the past two years, but now that it seems like he and Johnson are finally appearing to be the guys that Heatley is clicking with, I see him as an even more valuable investment. If he's the guy that unlocks Heatley's goalscoring abilities, he's worth the money right there. He never seems to take a night off, and he's young enough that he will keep getting better. Resigning Brodziak is a no-brainer. I can happily let go the rest of the UFAs listed in the article, even Cullen, who is again looking like he is pulling the spring disappearing act.

OK, So going into next year we have Koivu and Cullen under contract (Lines #1 & 2).. There is a TON of talk about Grandlund (SP?) and him stepping right in.. Well he is a Center also.. Are we going to do? Put Gandlund on the 3rd or 4th line? NO.. Not as much as everyone talks about him.. If we sign Brodziak that puts him on the 3rd or 4th line with Cullen on the other IF we put Grandlund on the 2nd line.. We are full at Center then, UNLESS we trade Cullen in the offseason... OR We bring Grandlund over and let him play in Huston and bring him up WHEN we have an Injury..I like Brodziak and would like to keep him, but could we use the additional 1-2 millinon he will be getting to sign a puck moving D-man or top 6 forward instead? Some difficult decisions coming up I hope Fletch has a Road map..

Is 3 million to much? double his salary? Gotta keep him though. He is in the top 5 (IMO) of the players, already on the team, this team needs now and in the future.

tornstar, I would start Granlund as a winger to try to make his transition less complicated. Then the year after when Cullen's contract is up you can slide Granlund to center.
