Wolves coach Rick Adelman loves the pick and roll, but it is time for his team to diversify.

manolive - we do have a legitimate center. Pek might not be a high flyer, but he's a throwback to how centers used to be. Big, beefy, and clog the middle. He's gotten considerably better at not fouling (and, if he kills the offensive foul on the moving screen, he'll get even better), and can absolutely be a 12-8 guy in this league, with an upside of probably 15-10. With all of the talent we have on this roster, getting 12-15 points & 8-10 boards a night from your center is damn good. And he absolutely shut down Tim Duncan, so the dude can play defense.

Why or why is Wes Johnson getting ANY burn? He has regressed. Adelman says no one is seperating themselves...well Wes is seperating himself in the opposite direction. At a minimum he should be working with the second team to try to get his confidence back.

"Love on his decision to let his beard grow: 'David Kahn doesn't like it, so I'll keep it.'" sounds like love's still a little salty abt the contract extension lol

mesaou....Kevin's response about his beard sounds like a typical 23 year old.Sometimes we can lose sight as to young some of thees guys actually are.

That quote was a cropped version of Kevin's response. His expanded response had nothing to do with David Kahn. This was just a joke that was tagged along with it and for all we know it was prompted. Not a big deal, really.

I know many here will disagree with me but many of these themes were addressed by Rambiss the one to be hated last year.I like Adelman but he is no miracle worker. These young men still need to jell as a team.It will still take another year or two. Until then I think we are going to continue to see one step forward and two steps back. The 10 players I would like to see playing on a regular basis whether they start or not...Rubio,Webster,Beasley,Love,Pekovich,Ridnour,Barea,Johnson,Williams and Randolph.

Though I don't always understand Adelman's lineup and substitution patterns, he has done a great job with the guys to date. One-third of the season is over, and the Wolves are on pace to win 30 games. Add three wins to that number, and they could finish .500, which is HUGE improvement. And, making the playoffs as the 8th seed this year is a possibility, though they may end up falling a bit short of that milestone.

I agree kingsxman...Wes Johnson seems to be getting worse with each game. He is a lost puppy out there. I don't know if it's confidence...his wife expecting a child or he was just overrated. But, he should not be starting. The Wolves have the WORST starting shooting guard with Johnson in the lineup. It's time to go with Martell Webster...and hope that Johnson can get his act together coming of the bench.

Pek and Beasley will start tonight. Quote me. As a Coach, you need to do what is best for the team and not worry about hurting anyone's feelings. Coach will start the 5 best players and that includes Beasley and Pek.

Daniel888, I hope you're right, but how do you know that when you're in California, and the Coach is in NJ? :-)
