Why spend all this money? I mean, if you're not in favor of same sex marriage, don't marry someone of the same gender. Problem solved.

Because the GOP doesn't want to legislate, they want to rule.

GOP will look like fools when the ballot initiative fails. This is all a moot point because soon there will be a federal law finally giving equal rights to gays as they are due under the constitution, no matter what Jesus says.

Thank you to everyone who stands up for the "other people" in society. It is a shame that a document that has always stood for the freedoms we hold so dear has become a way of denying them to others for which we don't approve. I hope Minnesota will not be just another state that will be on the wrong side of history.

yathinkso I'm not sure why you give money to a church that you don't believein. Find a church that believes like you. You can find churchs that believe anything from snake worship to holy bean bags.

Money coming directly from the Arch Diocese for a political donation? Isn't this type of thing forbidden under the law that makes the church a non-profit organization? Perhaps this should be reviewed and the non-profit status removed since the taxes collected could go to other needs in the state.

Really ... churches need to start paying taxes like the rest of us! They are endorsing political candidates and getting involved in the political process.
