Most of the experienced psychiatric staff have either quit or been fired at the security facility in St. Peter.

As usual mentally ill patients are suffering due to incompetent management. Sadly the people who need care the most and have no voice are the always the first to receive the worst care.

Given his professional and personal behavioral issues, was Mr. Proffitt subject to a psych eval prior to being offered the position at St. Peter?

Might be time to fire Mr. Proffitt. Usually when good people leave in droves there is a valid reason.

I don't know what's going on down there, but is sounds like a fiasco. I actually have a brother who killed our parents down there and they have done nothing but try to get him back out into the public. Scary enough??? No accountability, no nothing, just a big go through the motions type of deal in my view. Medicate'em up and see what happens. It kind of sounds like the staff is afraid of the inmates and that is rightfully so. But the way they want to push them back out of there is frightening. This Dr Service was the one who has kept moving my brothers security lower. If she's gone, it can only be good.

Whenever someone so obviously incompetent as Mr. Proffitt is hired to a high level position it is time to follow the money. A simple Google search reveals that this person isn't fit to mop the halls at St. Peter.

I can't believe this guy was hired and I have problem with prior employement issues being withheld from management. There should be two people let here, not just Proffitt.

Kudos to Wild Fox. As a person that has a family member with mental illness issues I don't think I would want Proffit in charge.

I left a job in which the new administrators can be described as incompetent at best, and unethical, if one were being honest. It's really terrible for staff to deal with these situations. Often there is a reign of terror going on and everyone is terribly intimidated.

Apparently, David Proffitt is incapable of properly and effectively working with doctors tasked with one of the hardest jobs around: fixing the brain. Let him go, get the experienced staff back, and quickly address the 'documentation' problem (which should be easy). When this many employees leave during a four-month period, it is a management problem, not staff.
