The Gophers won with clean, composed ball, while Tayler Hill & Co. appeared frazzled in a rowdy Barn.

Great win!!! Nice play all around but especially impressed with the post players (Loberg, Riche). And nice play by Noga too. And I can't stand Prahalis - cocky little brat. Great job ladies - now if we just lower those turnovers...

Puzzling...we lose against bad teams and beat good teams like Michigan State and Ohio State. But I agree with the Prahalis comment, she sends off a bad vibe.

Banham has got a bright future! Another good day at the office with 20 points in limited time.

Wow, nice play top to bottom today. If you had told me that the Gophers would go 1-1 in the home stand vs. Wisconsin and Ohio State I would have bet the house on the loss coming to the latter (as would most sane, gambling types). The play of Riche was an especially nice surprise - if she can bring it like that on the inside every night the Gophers are going to be dangerous (very sweet highlight move in the lane against Adams in the second half). This game was satisfying in so many ways. This is easily the biggest win for this program in the last two and a half years and it was televised semi-nationally (BTN). It was also a nice crowd (officially 5,600) that got to see what the Gophers look like when they are playing well and with intensity. I'm not sure what the last win was for this program was against a Top 10 ranked opponent but I think it was probably Stanford back in 2006 at the Subway classic. Hopefully we will reflect back on this someday as the first of many huge wins in the "Banham Era".

And to think I almost didn't watch this game thinking the Gophs had no chance. Whew..Great job by the inside players going to the basket and finishing (Loberg, Kellogg and Richie). Buford would get my MVP of the day for handling the pressure when Banham was out and dealing off seven assists. Love to see the biggest cry baby-ref baiter on planet Earth, the OSU coach, get beat. Sure you will enjoy your dinner tonight Coach Borton; esp. in lieu of all the crap you often get on this comment page.

Why did not Taylor Hill come to Minnesota. Lindsay Whalen did well here. It really disgusts me when the great high school players stiff the U of M. Glad to see her get beat at home.

It's bad enough these glory hounds stiff their home-state team, but then they seem to get extra satisfaction out of coming back here and rubbing our noses in it by beating us while beating their chests saying ... "Look at me". Good job lady Gophs. I'm sure you ruined her homecoming victory party.

Good for the Gopher ladies, nice big win over big hyped OSU with our our little girl from MN on their team. spank'em. Great to see Lindsay...err Rachel Banham have a big game too. They really need to go get some top talent 4 star players to help this girl rebuild the program.
