Type in Dakota indian, Sioux, 1862 indian war, Samuel Pond, Gideon Pond,Fort Snelling, etc. Then set to all media types. Each different subject gives you more books to read from 100 years ago or more. Best documentation, read Minnesota in the Indian and Civil war 1862-1864. Vol 1and 2 both have war documentation and personal letters written.
Many eyewitness stories from indians and victims also on site. Read The Dakota Internment at Fort Snelling 1862-1864 by Monjeau-Marz. This book is documentational with REAL facts of "Inclosere" to protect Indians. To learn about old Dakota Indian life, read Charles Eastmans books on archives.
Don't go to hate lectures, it is a business, they make money from this nonsense. Go to Traverse des Sioux interpretive center in St Peter Mn. Let the kids run loose outside over old village sites on trail. Get educated and enjoy history. If you learn history, you understand, when you understand, you hate nothing you learned. Move forward.
