It's great that this story is right next to the story about Ziggy warming to the Metrodome site. The city has somehow found 300 Million dollars for a new Vikings stadium but can't find .05% of that amount for basic animal control services. Wow, just wow.

Mahatma Gandhi once said, "One can measure the greatness and the moral progress of a nation by looking at how it treats its animals." Here, our actions speak to this measure. Very sad.

That we are more interested in building football stadiums than helping the lesser creatures of our world says alot about the limits of Minnesota nice.

Here's an important service that the city is cutting back while at the same time wanting to spend many millions on a new facility for a billionaire from New Jersey. Talk about messed up priorities!

To Saimian: DITTO! I keep saying Minneapolis cannot afford a new stadium. Arden Hills is the better site. Can you tell Minneapolis has no leadership, and clearly no idea how to budget. They cut firefighters, police, public services that taxpayers actually expect just so they can build a stadium. I hope people are REALLY paying attention here. Oh wait, is that expecting too much?
