The Wild always play better when I watch the game from the couch instead of the recliner.

Good to see the boys get it in order. It all starts now. Either continue winning to make the playoffs or tank for a lottery pick. It's gotta be one or the other. No more of this in-between stuff.

I watched a couple of the Stars games and what is up with Nystrom. He is playing so much better with the Stars than he did with the Wild? Is it the system or just a wake up call? In any case his play had been impressive.

A good effort last nite. Being an optimist, I figure they could repeat this and get a couple more wins this season.

hockeyfox... My thought on Nystrom -it's like a kid's first job out of college. Got his training and first big break at Wild's expense ... Now realizes that 'the company' doesn't just give you a salary for being a good person- they want a result. He's becomes a more results oriented employee with Dallas Stars? Just a thought.

My Nystrom thought...he was snakebit with us. 4 goals, but it took forever for him to get #1 and it was an empty-netter that rattled off the pipe. Even an easy goal wasn't a gimme for him. He hit some pipes. The guy played day-in, day-out and gave good effort. He just didn't get the results. This year, his bounces are going the other way. A good guy, but just needed a new start.

Nice win. A must win if you have any hopes of turning things around. Powe has been our best worker for the past week and it is nice to see the boys give him credit for it. Heatley didn't look like he was quicker by any means, but the plays he made were solid. The nice pass to Seto and then a (practically) no-look to Brodz. I didn't think his goal had a chance, but he showed his hands. DH still has great hands...it's just he can't create the space he needs. Last night, he overcame the lack of space. If they want to make a playoff push, they need that same effort on the road. Hopefully, the guys like Rau can keep the energy up. Zidlicky out of the lineup and we win...his days here are over. Let's send him somewhere and try to package a deal to get a scorer...I would even part with a prospect or two (not Granlund) if it could mean getting a Rick Nash. Nash needs a change of scenery. I know, dream on.
