i studied at metro state and i worked there and these are just a few of the issues. there is definitely more to the situation - low moral, power struggles, lack of training, insufficient support from mnscu headquarters...

I too studied and worked there and this article is just scratching the surface of the issues. The thing that sickens me about it is that it's a public university that purports to offer so much for those that have so little. It's not like they're "rounding up" tuition on students attending a private university or even students at the U. They've taken money from students who count on it to feed, house and clothe themselves and their children and sometimes parents or grandparents. It's an unfortunate feeling not to be proud about your association with such an institution.

Having incorrect tuiton rates in their tables is inexcusable. They have had a lot of turnover. They need a good hands-on business manager and not another administrative talking head who only attends meetings and deals in theories but doesn't actually know how to "do" anything.
