What an amazing, amazing kid. God bless you, Jabs.

Wow. What a remarkable young man! His outlook is amazing. No matter what the physical outcome of this situation will be, you can tell he will be alright.

It's a terrible tragedy, I have a son and I would be devestated, but are we about ready to move on? It's a contact sport, people get hurt. I hope that the new rules make a difference, but this was a freak and sad accident. This is really only hurting hockey, because kids coaches and refs don't know how to play, coach or officiate, and the MSHSL over reacted like usual.

Make something clear. I mean with the new rules it will make the game more confusing, I did not mean that coaches, players and officials are inept. They all do there best, and of course I pray for Jabs, I just want to make sure everyone does not overreact, but that is already to late.

Talk about courage!

To be a young man, with the the incredibly positive outlook he has demonstrated in this tragedy, only shows that he will live his life to the fullest and great things will come his way. God bless Jake and his road to recovery. Our prayers are with you!

@cooper227 - this is a comment section to support Jack Jablonski. If you don't care to read any more about this remarkable young man, then don't. But please don't put such insensitive comments on here such as "are we about to move on?" This article is not about YOU and your feelings about the new hockey rules. It's about the struggles of a young hockey player and how he is trying to be as positive as possible about his future. God bless you, Jabs.

Cartert1, I disagree. This is not a support group for Jablonsk4i. It's a forum to exchange ideas about news stories. Cooper27 is right. This is a terrible tragedy. It's a tragedy SHARED by hundreds of Minnesotans each year - not just by this one kid. That's how I understood his "let's move on" comment. Celebrity support because of media saturation is one thing. Coping with a lifelong disability is quite another. This injury is just three weeks old. Who will be there for him and the family when he goes home from the hospital and his new "normal" life as a spinal cord injury survivor begins? THAT is a news story I'd like to read.

Keep the faith Jabs.

What a great and amazing attitude; it's hard for me to imagine myself being so upbeat under the same circumstances. Keep up the great work Jack, and best wishes always!
