Another great move by Coach. The worst defense in the NFL and you hire the man who constructed it! You really don't want to work very long next year do you.

If Tony Dungy said that he is a rising star in coaching then I am happy with this decision. What he did before this past season is what i am looking at. His specialty is defensive backs which has been the weakest part of our defense for too long. Hopefully he can do the same thing with Burton and Raymond (two guys I saw some potential in) that he did with Bethea. Still, I am disappointed that Dunbar was the only coach fired. Our defensive line was always our strong point on defense.

You just gave us some terrible stats, why hire this guy? Perhaps it is another famous hire the first guy to apply plan. See Tice, Childress, Frasier..... By the way, how come there is no build up for the New Orleans at Green Bay NFC title game? Where are they now? I guess they lost with the first team they played, kind of funny isn't it?

Wow Frazier. While were at it, lets pick up the Rams offensive coordinator because we really want the 1st pick in 2013.

Didn't Dungy also vouch for Frazier? As best as I can tell, he fired the one defensive position coach who had a player break a single season team record, and kept his dead- weight buddies. Fred Pagnac appears to be to Frazier what Richard Solomon was to Denny Green. This reaks worse than our team will next year.

GM who took the Dolphins to the basement in 4 short years ,inexperienced headcoach in Frazier, defensive line coach hired from the 3-13 Rams and defensive coordinator from the 1-15 colts, a linebacker's coach who was 4-12 as headcoach last year for 49'ers who this year are playingin NFC championship game.......can't wait to see what other top notch guys the Vikes hire. Seems like the Wilf's are turning into Red McCombs. These moves have me holding my breath for how bad they can screw up the upcoming draft.

kenw1952wJan. 18, 1211:25 PM

I can't believe the Wilfs want a new taxpayer paid stadium and keep making these kind of front office/coaching moves. I would think they would want to try and get fan support,LOL

Good move, picking up a defensive backs specialist. Even with the Colts being 2-14 this year they had the 15th ranked pass defense which is pretty good considering the players he had to work with are mostly terrible. I've been used to the Vikings being in the bottom 5 or 10 in pass defense in the league for years now. At least he sounds more qualified and a better option than anybody left. Most of you people also need to remember this is the Vikings and the roster for d-backs is terrible. What big name, highly skilled guy would want to risk destroying his career by taking over this horrendous defense. I consider the Vikings lucky that this guy even is willing to coach for them.

So this is the Wilf's best efforts after two miserable years. No significant changes in their front office, scouting department, or coaching staffs. I'm so delighted we get to look forward to the same lousy schemes. Wilfs - no stadium for you !

butcher001Jan. 19, 12 6:58 AM

Wow!!!! I'm so excited (sarcasm)! Hopefully Williams can take Minnesota's defense (ranked 21st overall), and get it to where Indianapolis was last year (25th overall).
