Tops in the NHL a month ago, coach Mike Yeo's team lost for the 14th time in 16 games and is close to being out of the top eight in the West.

Very UGLY Loss. Chuck Fletcher...thanks for doing NOTHING to improve this team. Same old Wild, nothing has changed since Fletcher took over the GM role.

I guess maybe it wasn't Todd Richards fault.

I hope their Dad's chewed them out on the ride home because that effort was pathetic!

Couple of game notes: Yeo's systems work but unfortunatley it was the Flyers who were getting pucks in deep, getting pucks to the net and playing screen, tip and rebound hockey. Screening the goalie and getting them in the butterfly position and then shooting accurate wristshots at the top corners is very good hockey by the way. Did anyone notice Cullen's backcheck on the SHG ? Did anyone see the color of the top of coach Yeo's head after Cullen's bigtime effort(coasting) ? Wow...Yeo kept straight faced but that was LUND red like you generally only see on the opening of fishing ! Looks like Clutterbuck wants to be playing somewhere else right now...as in trade me or I will take more dumb penalties !! What is with the "D" crosschecking people in the back right now in front of the net also. That is a neon sign telling everyone(especially the refs/hello) that you are out of position(as in lost your check). Going to get another goalie hurt before we figure out which side of our opponent we are suppose to be on ? Some real fundamental mistakes going on out there. It's one thing to get beat but a whole different story when you are doing the things to beat yourselves !!! Team tempermental is showing up again which means some more changes are inevitable !!!!

PATHETIC!!!! Can't blame the coach anymore...not for the third year in a row. I'm starting to think that it wasn't Richards fault either. This team started out red hot under Yeo's coaching. Obviously, he's doing something right! He can't help the fact that his team decided to quit on him. Bunch of prima donna's!! What's the matter boys?? Did he raise his voice too much? Too often? Did he make you practice too hard? Skate too much? Didn't get to finish playing that Wii game before practice? What did Yeo do to make you quit playing? Pathetic! I'm throwing my loyalty at a real team for the rest of the season (can be any one of the others!) and maybe then, I'll be able to enjoy hockey games again. The Wild are laughable now....losing 3 or 4 games is bad enough but 16???? Good Grief! What a joke they've become! I've even taken down my calendar at work and put my mouse pad in the drawer for fear of being ridiculed! They deserve no loyalty until they start giving their fan base something to be loyal to! Take off your rose colored glasses people. They'll never turn this around. Never. Not a chance.

Predictably pathetic. Nuff said.

Tonight's lame game: done before it's begun. Unwatchable. On to Toronto for another boring, embarrassing exhibition of feeble hockey. Not sure the Ws should participate in Minnesota's Hockey Day. They should take the day off (how would that be different??)and we could have a couple of Mites games at the X: better effort and certainly more entertaining.

Maybe next year it will be better. Wild will be in the playoffs and the Gophers will be at the Rose Bowl!

bhrnew1lJan. 17, 1210:14 PM

You can tell by the posters that the fans are not being fooled, its hard to miss the playoffs as they are so entertaining and fun to watch. I am sure Mister Yeo is going to be a good coach in the future, Leo or his Fletch need to come clean with the fans as they are being exposed

It's a shame the Wild won so many games in December or else we would be looking at a top 5 pick.
