Yeah lets blow $27,000,000 on a lower tier minor league baseball club who already have a perfectly good place to play at Midway Stadium. It sure is fun spending somebody else's money I guess. Pathetic.....

There had better be a large parking lot for tailgating or you can kiss the average Saint's fan good-bye.

A little hypocrisy on Coleman's part? He's will to take outside tax payer money for a stadium in his city. At the same time not will to have his city contribute tax money for a stadium in Arden Hills. Yes I know the dollar amounts are different. Also, I don't support using any tax dollars for building stadiums for professional teams.

Truckman: Better that than nearly a billion dollars on a top tier football team that only plays half a game a few times year whose stadium could be payed for out of pocket by the owners but instead are being asked to be funded by you and I. But I bet you have no problem with that one. The Saints Stadium in downtown will be used by far more than just the Saints and will create an economic boon to the nearby businesses and better yet is quite affordable. Their present site is small, falling apart, has terrible parking, and is not easily accessible. I hope this works out, the Saints play a great game and put on a good show.

What a joke. Yet another team gets a new stadium while the Viking wait. What Prejudice since the Vikings donot have a home town owner. MAybe this is a bribe to Coleman to support Arden Hills. The state of Minn. is such a joke.

the charm of the saints is their dumpy old stadium. it's everything pro ball isn't. people there to have fun, players playing for the love of the sport. build a stadium and you'll lose that.

Can't wait for this to happen! It will be a perfect bookend for downtown St. Paul. We'll have the Xcel Energy Center and W 7th restaurants on one end, and the ballpark, outdoor concerts and Lowertown establishments on the other end. Add the Ordway, Union Depot, Central Corridor, Harriet Island and some Red Bull events.....this downtown will be hoppin'!

I hope it happens, even though I only go to about 10 games a year, good baseball, family fun, just an all around great time

The Twins could move their minor league Beloit Snappers to St. Paul, too. That way the Saints and the Snappers could share the ballpark and we could see some great summer baseball in St. Paul.
