Saw Garland in DC this summer. Don't miss this show . . . and his new album is fantastic!

I'm a HUGE Garland Jeffreys fan & the most recent ticket stub I have for a concert of his dates back to May 28, 1978 (Walker Art Center, with Rio Nido as opening act), so, yes, it's been all of "a couple of decades" since he was last here.

Hey jinxandtj, do you know of any other concerts that Garland has performed in the Twin Cities before or after 1978?

As it turns out, I discovered one other ticket stub in my collection. Garland played the Guthrie on May 10, 1981, with The Rumour (sans Graham Parker) opening. I'm sure he'll set us straight on Friday, if there have been other, more recent appearances, but that's all I could come up with. Can't wait!

Good job on this research jinxandtj! I had also heard Garland played here once with Carmen McRae and once with Lou Reed. I promoted this concert at The Ritz. Please find me and introduce yourself and let's all share our past Garland concert stories! Thanks, Marc.
