Legalize the real thing, control manufacture, strength, etc. the way you do alcohol or tobacco, and most - but not all - of this problem will go away.

Bravo to the StarTrib for staying on top of this story and educating your readers about this important topic. So glad you did the educational video. Our family is still grieving a niece's drug overdose (not synthetic drug) but any addiction, death or grief avoided by your efforts is worthwhile!

thank you star trib! this is a huge problem. your articles tell the real story. everything is an unknown. there are no "studies" or previous experiences to guide us, or our healthcare providers. my family has just endured a frightening three month stretch with my 40 year old brother. he was hospitalized for over 8 weeks, given a bleak prognosis with permanent brain damage. he is still in treatment, with things looking better. but his treatment was a day to day guess on the hospitals part, leading to many "hiccups" along the way. i'm so disappointed in so many things... the fact that this crap is so readily available. the medical ignorance on the part of two local hospitals. the law enforcement agencies that were involved since november... hrmph!

http://postbulletin.com/news/stories/display.php?id=1483351 do your research in a year you will be taking these oh wake up see they will just be in different packaging..they are not dangerous. Read the studies educate yourself before speaking. Its a scam by big pharma see patients will be paying 1000 a gram in a year. But it will be beneficial for cancer patients and people with diseases and disorders so take it right? This whole thing has been exploited to be so bad..like i said in a year..it will be exploited to be so Good for patients.
