There's no hurry, in fact there's no reason to do anything. We don't want it, don't need it and can't afford any more stadiums. The Vikings already have a stadium with a new roof, a new playing surface, and their name "Minnesota Vikings" right there on the building.

Let me sum it up for the Star Tribune, who won't put it down in print due to their conflict of interest: There is NO chance of any stadium bill passing this year.

I completely support the stadium. I don't think there needs to be a rush to make a decision but I do think this needs to be decided in 2012. Do some of these legislators think anything is there job? Make a decision so we can move on. I am tired of these "leaders" just avoiding having to make a decision on anything. Vote yes or no.

"Ramsey County Board Chairman Rafael Ortega, at one point, chided the Minneapolis proposal for its brevity. "It's time to get real," Ortega said. "A four-page proposal [for] three sites? We have one site, and we have purchase agreements. We have timelines." ---- Hey Ortega! How can you behave with arrogant superiority when you plagiarized Anoka County's plan? Can you answer if Anoka County is still demanding payment for using their plan and when you would pay? Is your political modus operandi handing-in other's work, claiming it as your own?

It is painfull to see the State and local goverments bending over backwards to pay way too great a share of an overpriced stadium. Simplify the stadium (outdoors like Lambeau) and Wilf pays half.

If building in a stadium in a location that leverages the public's previous investments in highways and transit is a bias, I'm cool with that.

They only have a new roof and new playing surface because the roof collapsed! The Twins got their new stadium, it's the Vikings turn. The Dome is no good. The Vikings are at the bottom of the league in revenue because the Dome does not generate enough revenue, or MONEY. They have to have the other teams give them money. They cannot continue this way. Why is that so hard to understand? ---- "We don't want it, don't need it and can't afford any more stadiums."----- Who is "WE"? Just because you don't want it, and you can't afford it, that means everyone else is just like you? I want it and I can afford it. I'm not rich by any means, I pay my bills and I work. Build this thing! More people will be able to pay their bills if WE build it. Trust me...I'm a construction worker.

"I think the only people who don't realize the stadium is going to be in downtown Minneapolis are the Minnesota Vikings," Davids said." ---- Rep Davids: just remove the words 'going to be' from your statement above there, drill the resultant sentence into Wilf's head, and everything will be all set for the fall of 2012 and each year thereafter. As simple as that. Do not let us taxpayers get ripped-off.

The Mpls proposal isn't a proposal; it's general, vague commentary. It says next to nothing. The $10 million city cap? Not addressed. Not going to raise taxes? No, it will shift taxes designated for other things--Convention Center and Target Center, then taxes will be raised to pay for those things that are about to lose their tax revenue to Vikes stadium. That's a shell game, robbing Peter to pay Paul. It would be nice if someone in the media would point that out. Oh, and how about the costs/need for Vikes to play somewhere for 3 years since they wouldn't be able to play in the Dome during construction. Ignored, of course.

"The Star Tribune owns five blocks near the Metrodome that could be involved in a stadium deal. The Vikings struck a tentative $45 million deal for that property in 2007 but withdrew, citing turmoil in credit markets." This paragraph finds it's way into every single article written about the Vikings stadium drive. You guys must really enjoy letting people know this, over and over again.
