lotus65- solar panels today still are not even close to matching multiple other methods of electrical production on cost. That was more true for every year back to the 70's. When it makes economic sense to go green, every company will do it. Until then, they need to be bribed with tax credits and deductions and guaranteed markets for excess production on sunny days, even if no one needs that electricity, at the point of the government's gun. We already have hundreds of millions of acres of heat absorption panels gathering heat from the sun. They are the fields of plowed black ground, absorbing extra heat instead of reflecting it back, as yellow prairie grass would. Bill G.
