"Everything we needed to do to win this game, we didn't do," said coach Mike Yeo after the team's eighth straight road game without a victory.

Started out good but really need a scoring threat, HINT Fletch. I'm surprised they haven't been coached to shoot low and get the rebounds like the goals tonight, or maybe they don't listen but it definitely works. All in all a good effort but it has to be tough on the players. Get ready for the Blues, Go Wild!

Well, 1/3 of the game they played OK. But, after the first intermission, oh, man it got ugly pretty quick. What was Spurgeon thinking going after a guy behind the net when we are shorthanded? And then Stoner and Zanon, but Russo covered them pretty well. Also, on their last power play, and then again later 5 of 5, what is the point of trying to have Heatly (in all 3 or 4 cases it looked by design) carry the puck into the offensive zone? needless to say, in all cases, the puck never made the top of the circles before the Hawks had it. There must be a better option. It boggles the mind.

What happened to the blue line? Zanon has been absolutely brutal lately. Against San Jose he literally fell down several times while trying to turn and chase. Chicago game - incredibly, even worse. For a supposed rugged d-man, he is getting shoved all over the ice. He's not alone in playing terrible, but there is no reason to play him over Lundin. Make the change!

I want to correct myself and say 'ONLY power play'. And, what's up with that? And, CC - I like your hits, but not when the puck is just sitting there waiting to be played, and certainly not when you miss and run the goaltender. Some real mental lapses tonight.

But then, Saturday's a new day, and a chance to run our new winning streak to 1. Bring it back, Wild!

Once again, uninspired hockey by the Wild. One has to wonder what kind of changes might need to happen... one of which might be Yeo.

Hits???Clutterbuck?? You can't hit what you can't catch. No-and-slow speed criples this team in every aspect of the game. Wild Braintrust! How many times do you have to see Hackhawk forwards wheel around the W's before you see this HUGE gap in wheels? Hustle can help, but it's not going to make up for skating like you're on slush.

This "system" is stupid and ridiculous if it requires the Wild to play a near-perfect game every night just to win. How can a team be so off all the time? There's something fundamentally wrong with Yeo's system. It appears to be utterly unsustainable. Is it just asking too much of players to play so deep and aggressive in both ends all night long?
