"Even more telling," the public defender's office said, Elvig earns enough to afford DirecTV." -- how does being able to afford DirecTV mean that someone could afford an attorney?

As a Ramsey resident I wish Anoka would annex the southern half of Ramsey.Let the northern half go with Nowthen.

("I'm a professional manager," said Ulrich, who has held the city administrator's job since 2007. "We work in a political environment. We need to continue to move Ramsey forward.") Ulrich is obviously expendable at this time as a sit-in-his-office-all-day manager in stark contrast to the people who do the necessary REAL work. Ulrich's own statement really says that he is a professional politician! Public works, maintenance, mechanics, engineers, 'boots on the ground' and 'in the field' personnel are those who are truly respected for the hard work they do. I know it doesn't seem logical to Ulrich, as those like him who reach that 'grade level' and are paid 100k+ feel absolutely necessary, but times have a changed in Ramsey.

Ramsey should get rid of the $15000.00 monthly administration payment they make to that firm in Indianapolis (Landform).Of course then Matt Look and Bob Ramsey would lose their hunting and fishing trips Landform pays for. Does anyone know that the assistant city manager spends 95% of her time working with Landform and makes $86,000 plus benefits. The assistant city manager position needs to go away. $15,000 X 12 = $180,000 plus $86,000 for the assistant manager gives you $266,000.00 in savings and you are over half way to your $500K you said you wanted to cut to Bob. Did anyone else see the owner of Landform texting Matt Look seconds after the 4-3 vote against was cast.

"how does being able to afford DirecTV mean that someone could afford an attorney?" - - - Because that means you have disposable income, DirecTV is a LUXURY, not a NECESSITY, therefore you can afford a lawyer. (maybe not the best one, but you can afford one)

I think Landform needs to go away and Look needs to move to another county. Building a train depot 5 minutes away from existing depot does not any sense, no matter how you spin it.Fix the Anoka County roads so the fillings don't fall out of my mouth. Has anyone ever driven county roads to the hospital in Coon Rapids? Replace Look as transportation chair. Thanks

Owing over 100K in overdue sales tax is theft in my book. Theft from the taxpayers. He should lose his job automatically. No trial, no vote. Out the door.

I think that Mr. Elvig needs to be removed from the city council and I can't believe that this has not been done already. I am concerned about the Mayor being out of town and with the council member that is acting mayor. The criminal ongoings of some of these people should not be tolerated by the residents of Ramsey. As a citizen of Ramsey I am embarrassed of the situations that this community has gotten itself in. We need to be moving forward and trying to make a better community for people to want to live in but at this rate would you like it to be known that you are a resident of Ramsey?

Seriously? The city finally has the guts to make the same decisions EVERY business and family has had to make - painful as they are - and the same band of thieves that put Ramsey in this mess orchestrate an uprising to protect their big government? This Mayor has done more to restore common sense than this city has seen in decades. This is simply an exercise in efficiency folks, and all the ghosts of the past turned it into a witch hunt.
