ARRey sez: If Koivu is not an all star, then who is? A poll of opposing players should confirm this opinion.

I'd say Koivu is the only player on the team playing up to All-Star Game level right now. I'm going to open up a can of worms here, and put out this question: Is there any other player currently on the Wild who has the potential to rise to All-Star level next year? Let the fighting being in three, two, one......

Koivu is legit as he plays against the other teams top lines, gets goals, gets assists and maintains a good plus / minus. He also looks to be growing up a little as he seems a little less tempermental than he was.

@uffda57- I'd say no. Setoguchi is near his ceiling, Heatley would need a time machine, Cullen would need the team picked in mid-October, PMB needs to start his 2nd career and Granlund will need some time to adjust to the NHL. The best bets (still big long shots) IMO would be if Spurgeon or Clutterbuck got off to hot starts next year.

Uffda, there is know one other than Koivu. Lats would be the only other player that would even come close if we could see him play a full season, it would be interesting to see what kind of numbers he could put up.
